Longman & Eagle Inn is worthy
Spent two nights at the Longman & Eagle Inn. Room 76 is above the bar and you can hear it going until after 1am, that's ok, I expected it. Room 07 is in back, overlooking the now dormant beer garden. It's nice and quiet. Both have cool showers integrated into the rooms, very hip Ace Hotel like built ins, tasty bits from Vosges Chocolate and granola bars from the Sunday Dinner crew. Mini bar is well stocked, smallish (but not tiny) bottles of Makers and other quality liquors, cans of PBR and one bottle each of 312, IPA and Matilda from the local brewery. You also get two swell wooden nickels each good for a drink downstairs. Cost is cheaper than any downtown hotel, your right in Logan and halfway to ORD. Downstairs they serve good food (got 1 star from Michelen, really they did) and even better drinks. Service, though plaid, is better than expected. Nice job, boys.
